Leidos is actively seeking a detail oriented and proactive Website Content Administrator to contribute to the assisting our GLINDA Web Support task order. The Website Content Administrator should be self-motivated to seek out improvements and solutions wherever possible. They should be able to display a proven capacity to develop concise, professional, high quality web content. An aptitude and flexibility to prioritize tasks, reply effectively to ad hoc tasks, and meet critical deadlines are important for this role.
Primary Duties:
Format and layout provided material (e.g. graphics, text, video, headings, pullouts, links, instructions or other applicable navigation or organizational aids) in accordance with existing NRC standards for the NRC external and internal web sites .
Ensures sites maintain optimum performance and security; works with systems administrator to ensure consistent uptime.
Performing various quality control activities and documentation procedure updates.
Validate deliverables are Section 508 compliant using customer-established code and customer-approved best practices.
Accountable for strict following of customer-provided web standards.
Assist NRC web sites with content updates and artwork as needed.
Service desk role operating and assisting content updates with the ability to work under minimal supervision.
The ability manage time and be mindful of priorities.
Assist NRC Office of Public Affairs (OPA) with press releases - which is high-priority task.
Multitasking skills to coordinate requests from various NRC offices.
Ability to listen/follow directions and retain training provided.
Please note: This is a remote opportunity.
Role Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 4 years of professional relevant experience OR Master’s with less than 2 years of relevant familiarity. Additional years of relevant role work may be accepted/considered in lieu of specified education.
4 yearsof Web Assistance familiarity.
Language proficiency: HTML5/CSS.
Comprehension of/ability to use version control (such as Microsoft Visual SourceSafe (VSS) and within CMS) and Adobe Software (such as Photoshop and Dreamweaver)
Familiarity in content management systems, specifically Kentico, and use of Atlassian tools, i.e. JIRA
Ability to be a self-starter, pay strict attention to detail, and multitask across multiple projects and clients in a fast-paced, team-based environment.
Comprehension of UI (User Interface), cross-browser compatibility, general web functions and standards.
A natural problem solver.
Strong communication and social skills.
Excellent communications, organizational, and reporting skills.
Mustbe able to obtain an NRC Public Trust Security Clearance prior to start (may take anywhere between 1-3 months).
Due to contract protocol, U.S. Citizenship OR U.S. Permanent Residence is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with section 508/Accessible website development is a plus.
Basic comprehension with Content Management Systems (CMS) such as Kentico and willingness to learn latest technologies.
Language proficiency: XML and JavaScript a plus.
