POSITION SUMMARYThe Inventory Control Specialist role ensures the accuracy of the data in our internal systems compared to the physical counts of inventory. This position collaborates across departments to identify issues and resolve trends, presenting proactive solutions that serve our customers. Inventory Control Specialists work independently and efficiently across departmental teams and are expected to fulfill their responsibilities with precision and care.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.· Run various reports that identify potential systematic issues with inventory, investigate appropriately and resolve any found problems· Search for inaccuracies and errors, such as misplaced stock, while conducting and processing scheduled weekly cycle counts· Complete inventory adjustments based off differences in physical counts and research using the company’s ERP system· Use forklift equipment to replenish pick bins with overstock product· Identify and process damaged inventory throughout the warehouse to maintain accurate inventory levels· Ensure that misplaced or mistakenly picked items are returned to the correct bin location· Safely operate and maintain warehouse equipment to fulfill job duties to ensure a safe work environment· Pick wrap/kit list for repack items and transport completed product throughout the warehouse for put-away· Meet all expected performance standards regarding efficiency, accuracy and quality of work· Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by following all safety guidelines and reporting any hazards to the appropriate leadership.· Work closely with team members and leadership to meet daily, weekly, and monthly departmental goals· Abide by all company and warehouse policies· Flex into other positions and departments and undertake additional duties as necessary to support the overall operationEDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE· 1 year+ of relevant experience in a distribution environment preferred but not required· High school diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education and experienceKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES· Ability to operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts, order pickers, etc.· Proficiency with MS Office required (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills required· Strong verbal and written communication skills· Demonstrated ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines in a fast-paced environment· Ability to quickly adapt as business needs change; ability to address difficult situations with diplomacy and emotional intelligence· Customer service-oriented attitude with a demonstrated desire to exceed expectationsPHYSICAL DEMANDSThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
