Job Summary: The Platform Business Analyst at Wellfit plays a critical role in bridging the gap between our innovative technology solutions and business objectives. This role is pivotal in analyzing, designing, and implementing technological platforms that enhance our health and wellness services. The ideal candidate is adept in managing multiple technology systems and can navigate complex interdependencies within the organization without hand-holding. They will take full ownership of the business analysis lifecycle, from requirements gathering to implementation and testing, ensuring that all components are aligned with Wellfit's strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the definition and refinement of business requirements for Wellfit’s technology platforms, working closely with product managers and other stakeholders to understand and integrate business and system needs.
• Translate complex business requirements into detailed technical specifications, ensuring clarity and feasibility for development teams.
• Manage the product backlog effectively, prioritizing tasks based on strategic value and urgency, and making informed decisions about production bugs—assessing whether issues are showstoppers or can be deferred.
• Develop comprehensive documentation, including process maps, user stories, and system requirements, to maintain consistency and understanding across teams.
• Design and iterate on wireframes and user flow diagrams that represent technology workflows, ensuring they meet both architectural standards and user-centric design principles.
• Act as a surrogate product manager when necessary, covering responsibilities in their absence and ensuring that work is appropriately delegated to keep development momentum.
• Collaborate with UX teams and development teams to ensure that platform designs and implementations meet user expectations and align with business goals.
• Engage in Agile scrum meetings, providing valuable insights and contributions throughout the product development lifecycle to enhance platform functionalities.
• Oversee quality assurance for technological platforms, establishing stringent acceptance criteria and overseeing comprehensive testing to ensure reliability and performance.
• Demonstrate executive communication skills, adept at obtaining and disseminating critical information from and to various team members and stakeholders.
• Ensure the overall EPIC is refined and that user stories are adequately developed from the EPIC, maintaining a clear scope and understanding of upcoming tasks.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Extensive experience as a Business Analyst, with a proven track record in technology systems, preferably within the healthcare or wellness industries.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of managing complex data and processes across multiple systems.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, capable of guiding and unifying cross-functional teams without needing direct supervision.
• Proficiency in Agile methodologies, potentially fulfilling the role of a product owner in Agile projects.
• Expertise in using tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and a solid understanding of UML and wireframing tools.
Preferred:
• Certification in Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP, PMI-PBA), particularly with a focus on technology platforms within the health sector.
What We Offer:
• A competitive salary range of $90,000 to $120,000, with up to 10% bonus potential.
• Opportunities for professional growth and development in a rapidly expanding company.
• A collaborative, innovative culture that values continuous learning and pushing the boundaries in health and wellness technology.
