We’re proud of our Tier 1 supplier legacy for manufacturing propulsion-agnostic, structural automotive components, and assemblies around the globe.To help us drive excellence, as a Robotic Technician you’ll get to:• Understand and adhere to all safety guidelines as required by OSHA and specified in the AUTOKINITON mechanical/electrical standard (BMES) document.· Review and resolve all weld cut and etch and destruct related issues.· Participate in cross-functional equipment design reviews.· Support new model launches and improvement teams.· Support tool tryouts at supplier and in-house capability runs.· Participate in cross-functional and program management team activities.· Ensure utilization of continuous improvement of current processes.· Program robots, pedestal welders, and all other types of welding related equipment.· Responsible for Run at Rates with customers as well as cycle time requirements.· Troubleshoot Technical/Mechanical concerns on equipment and support other skilled trades as required.This full-time role is a part of our Robotics team and reports to the Plant ManagerRequired education & experience:· Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or five years plus related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Required skills & Abilities:• Must have valid driver’s license.• Must be able to safely operate forklift• Must be able to safely operate overhead canes• Read, use, develop, and modify electrical circuit drawings and schematics and maintain equipment drawing packets.• Understand various controls communications protocols and be able to identify the proper communication driver and cabling for establishing an “online” “device to device” or “device to programming terminal” connection.• Understand robotics programming, hardware and be able to integrate manipulators and controllers with production equipment.Preferred additional skills & abilities:· Ability to work with Microsoft Office at a basic level.Working conditions:· We’ll provide position-specific details including physical and focused efforts, working environment and conditions, and reasonable accommodations during the interview process.Where you’ll be:This position is located at our Axis Engineering location in Watertown, TN, offering many community events, resources, programs, and recreational opportunities for you and your family.Why you’ll enjoy working here:• Competitive Wages and Comprehensive Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k) with Company contribution match, and 14 paid holidays, including a bridge holiday in December.• Work-Life Balance: Many of our Associates have stayed with us for 25+ years!
