Sales Excellence Coordinator

The role


We are looking to hire a Sales Excellence Coordinator to join the newly formed Business Enablement team in London.


This person will have commercial experience & be responsible for driving sales excellence across the WGSN commercial teams within New Business, Account Management & Client Services.


They will be accountable for driving the effectiveness of the sales teams through coordinating world class training sessions, creating onboarding efficiencies and driving effective communication. 


This is a hybrid role with an expectation of 2-3 days in our London office per week.

Role overview 


The role will work closely within the Business Enablement team alongside the Sales Excellence team working to create efficiencies for the sales teams. They will be responsible for crafting and owning a world class onboarding bootcamp for new starters creating a network & aligning with the sales leaders and other appropriate functions.


This role will also be accountable for coordinating Commercial Training from GTM Launches, New Products, Pricing updates, System changes and more working with EA’s, Other Training owners and the people delivering the training. You will need to Introduce the training sessions on some occasions depending on the nature of it.


In this role you will also be closely aligned with Product Marketing to ensure sales have the correct client facing materials to support them throughout the sales process, this will also include coordinating internal training decks which will need to go onto our Internal sales hub. 


Ownership of our Sales collateral hub will be crucial, with a focus on ensuring sales can find what they need and fast. Maintaining version control & that there are always the most up to date decks and training videos available. 



The team


The Business Enablement team focuses on People, Processes and Systems to drive efficiency within WGSN across Marketing, Sales & Finance. We are a collaborative team who work together to deliver results in a fast paced environment. We collaborate daily with team stand ups, google chats & ensure we inject a bit of fun into our work.  Business Enablement is the process of providing resources, tools, and strategies for WGSN to operate more effectively and efficiently.  We aim to drive business growth and agility by providing employees with what they need to do their jobs better.


By optimising business processes, WGSN can work more effectively and efficiently.  Business Enablement therefore includes analysing and optimising business processes to eliminate bottlenecks and inefficiencies, and increase the overall success of the WGSN.  When done correctly, Business Enablement initiatives should reduce friction in an employee's workflow by eliminating manual processes, repetitive tasks, and other admin.


Key accountabilities
  • Create Onboarding Program in Sales Excellence team for commercial New Starters working with Commercial leaders to drive down ramp time and decrease attrition.
  • Be aligned to New product launches, sales initiatives, Process changes, system updates to help drive changes and schedule Training sessions to deliver best practice pulling in all the resources required to deliver these sessions. 
  • Own the commercial training calendar to ensure no overlaps or too many training sessions during any working day/week. Organise sessions, bring in the relevant experts and kick them off ensuring there is a supporting deck that can be shared post session whether video / deck etc. Work with Sales Training Lead and Commercial Systems Lead to align on diary timings etc. 
  • Own and Manage the Sales Hub - Ensuring the primary focus is making it easy to find sales collateral, and that the information is always up to date. Feedback from sales is crucial so it is fit for purpose. 
  • Ensuring Sales have the relevant content and collateral they need during each stage of the sales cycle to support the deals moving forward across NB & Renewals. Sales Excellence Coordinator to align to Product Marketing for client facing materials and then Internal materials to be created in the Sales Excellence team.
  • Create and own a global sales onboarding bootcamp working with the relevant stakeholders who need to be part of that program aiming to decrease ramp time & create a great experience!

Skills, experience & qualifications required
  • Sales experience required. Must have a background in selling on either New Business, Account Management or Client Services.
  • Understanding of Sales processes & ways of working ideal
  • Excellent communication skills required
  • Stakeholder Management required across
  • Easily able to identify areas for improvement with the skill of keeping things simple for sales & not over complicating. 
  • Organisational skills imperative and ability to work at a fast pace under pressure. 
  • Prioritisation essential
