what3words is revolutionising the way the world talks about location. Street addresses aren’t accurate enough to specify specific entrances, and they don’t exist for parks, rural areas and many parts of the world. This causes frustration, inefficiencies and can be dangerous.
That’s why we created what3words.
We have divided the globe into a grid of 3m x 3m squares, and given each one a unique combination of three words: a what3words address. It’s an easy way to find and share precise locations.
what3words is being used in 193 countries, and our monthly active users continue to grow at an impressive pace. Our tech is used by thousands of emergency services, delivery companies, eCommerce businesses, ride-hailing apps and NGOs, and is integrated into the navigation systems of millions of cars around the world.
The role
Joining our growing business development team, you will be part of the Business Support Team in UB directly reporting to the Partnerships Lead in Mongolia to assist in enabling the company to scale up the inbound sales function.
You will work closely with our team in London to build an ecosystem of what3words in key markets focusing on increasing the number of partners that use what3words and drive usage. Responsibilities will include: showing support to potential clients and helping them select a suitable product and plan for their use case, including writing sales emails in English, communicating with SMEs over email, and sometimes over the phone or video call, and actively managing and reporting on the sales pipeline across markets.
You will have:
Fluent spoken and written language proficiency in English
Extremely tech-savvy and able to confidently communicate the technical aspects of our business
Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written – and be comfortable working with diverse people and types of businesses
Strong ability to work autonomously
Ability to take instruction and deliver tasks and duties promptly to deadline, with high attention to detail
Incredibly good at dealing with highly efficient and solution-oriented progressive working styles
Your responsibilities will include:
Work closely with the local Business Support Team in Ulaanbaatar and London, assisting in sales and account management of partners globally
Independently own your own pipeline, qualify and close a large number of small and medium-sized deals
Create and present your own resources to lead one-to-one sales calls and meetings with key end business users to assist them to enable a what3words integration
Execute on the Business Support Team’s key operational tasks
Assist in market research and analysis
Assist in Mongolia local market operations where necessary
