Taxonomist
Whatnot is the largest livestream shopping platform in North America and Europe, innovating in the fast-paced world of live auctions. We are looking for a Taxonomist to define and develop a comprehensive taxonomy strategy.
Skills
- Strong cross-functional competencies
- Experience in creating technical requirements
- Industry standard knowledge for taxonomy tooling
Responsibilities
- Define and develop a comprehensive taxonomy strategy
- Work with product management, engineering, design, and data science
- Design adaptable classifications for diverse data use scenarios
- Inform taxonomy tooling and modification processes
- Advise on LLMs, generative AI, and chatbots
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Library Science, Information Systems, Linguistics
- Master's Degree preferred
