We do this by being deeply knowledgeable, fully capable, and always dependable, and our associates are the driving force behind this commitment.Job SummaryResponsible for maximizing sales through enhancing website search capabilities at Whitecap.com and other sites.Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities• Collaborate with product data management to optimize product keywords and attribution. Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and user feedback analysis to identify pain points, areas for improvement, and emerging trends.• Develop and take ownership of the product roadmap for the assigned area(s) of responsibility.• Identify high-value changes and provide recommendations to management for the site search capabilities for whitecap.com and other web properties/subsidiaries.• Analyze search queries and optimize through synonyms, page redirects, and changes to boost preferred products, brands, and categories which provides the most relevant results to users.• Coordinate product relevancy with marketing campaigns to optimize search merchandising efforts and adjusting product relevancy depending on current Campaign.• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, define user stories, and create detailed product specifications and acceptance criteria.• Validate new feature functionality, usability, and performance through user acceptance testing (UAT).• Measure key performance indicators (KPIs) such as product view events, add-to-cart events, and customer satisfaction metrics (Net Promoter Score) to evaluate the impact of changes made to search functionality.Nature and Scope• Demonstrates skill in data analysis techniques by resolving missing/incomplete information and inconsistencies/anomalies in more complex research/data.• Nature of work requires increasing independence; receives guidance only on unusual, complex problems or issues. Work review typically involves periodic review of output by a supervisor and/or direct customers of the process.• May provide general guidance/direction to or train junior level support or professional personnel.Work Environment• Located in a comfortable indoor area. Conditions could produce mild discomfort on occasion.• Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.• Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.Education and Experience• Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline. Generally 2-5 years of experience in a related field OR MS/MA and generally 2-4 years of experience in a related field. Certification is required in some areas.Preferred Qualifications• 1 year of product management experience, preferably in e-commerce.• Strong analytical skills and experience using Google Analytics 4 to inform data-driven decision making.If you’re looking to play a role in building America, consider one of our open opportunities.
