Failing to comply with this policy will affect their employment with Whole Foods Market.As a receiving team member, it's your job to ensure the timely processing of all incoming shipments while keeping track of any discrepanciesThe management of facilities and assets such as warehouses, transportation fleets, and distribution centers forms part of the Distribution and Facility Jobs department's responsibilitiesJob Type: RegularJob Description:Undertakes inbound receiving duties concerning the acceptance, verification, recording, and allotment to storage locations and trolleys of all goods conveyed.As a full-time employee, your workdays will be Monday through Friday with an 7AM start and 3:30PM endResponsibilities:• Unloading truck shipments entails counting, registering, and staging the received goods to ensure that the stocking departments and storage spaces are sufficiently supplied and organized.• Powered pallet jack/forklift operation should be carried out exclusively in accordance with OSHA and Whole Foods safety guidelines during product unloading and movement activities.• Examine incoming products to validate that they comply with Whole Foods Market's strict quality standards.• Precisely tallies the items to ensure that all orders are accurate and complete.• Add sticky tags onto the item as part of the labeling process to ensure an accurate listing of labeling records.• Regroup and relocate products for efficient storage and staging.• The product receiving area should be keep neat and tidy with no debris, recyclables, or trash.• Stuff the truck with all the recyclable items and other products that require transportation.• Check that all documentation is properly organized and accounted for before delivery.• Maintaining a clutter-free, sanitized, and well-maintained working area is a top priority.• By implementing OSHA's safety regulations, you are creating a safer work environment for everyone.• The inbound door assignment is to be followed with great care.• Receipt and confirmation of carrier documentation and driver sign-in processes.• Cross-docking is a method of directly transferring goods from common carrier vehicles to final destinations.• The shipping documents from the carrier provide vital information to cross-check and validate the quantities received in your inventory.• Categorize the items and distribute them across multiple pallets.• Identification tags on pallets can enhance the speed and accuracy of the put away process.• Place products in their assigned sections.• Make every effort to provide guests with a positive and memorable experience.Developing your knowledge, skills, and abilities can take time and effort, but can pay off in numerous ways, including increased job satisfaction, opportunities for career advancement, and higher earnings potential:• Meeting the physical challenges involved in this position will require a candidate who is fit and healthy• Skilled in interpersonal communication and focused on team synergy• Being skilled at utilizing all necessary tools is imperative• All employees are expected to comply with every policy and procedure instituted by WFM• Extraordinary talent in providing top-notch customer service• Expertise to execute all responsibilities with attentiveness, correctness, and timeliness• Complete comprehension of Whole Foods Market's policies, procedures, core values, business philosophy, and quality goals is required for employees to achieve the company's vision• A conscientious and devoted approach to paperwork management is crucial in establishing credibility and trust• Any equipment used in the workplace should be operated with care and attention to detail to minimize the risk of accidents or injury• The versatility to work collaboratively with others in a team-oriented environment, as well as the independence to execute assigned tasks with minimal supervision.• Given the changing demands of the facility, it is essential to be available to work on a flexible schedule, which may entail work on nights, weekends, and holidaysDesired Work Experiences:• Warehouse experience preferred• Anyone desiring to be part of this must have crossed the 18-year age thresholdThe hourly compensation for this role ranges from $15.00 to $26.00, depending on the candidate's degree of experience.
