Privacy Fellow

The Wikimedia Foundation is looking for a Privacy Fellow to join their legal department, specializing in Europe. The Privacy Fellow will provide research and drafting on privacy-related topics, data governance, and privacy-related public policy work.

Skills

Graduate degree in law, public policy or related fields
Deep understanding of privacy and internet law with a focus on Europe
Experience with large research projects on legal topics
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience working with remote teams

Responsibilities

Work on new and developing privacy-related legal issues
Research and provide guidance on data protection regimes in Europe and worldwide
Monitor global privacy developments that may impact free knowledge
Manage and administer ongoing legal projects
Collaborate with colleagues cross-departmentally

Education

Graduate degree in law, public policy or related fields
