The combined firm brings an unparalleled ability to deliver seamless, trusted, digitally-enabled experiences across any channel a customer might choose — including mobile apps, websites, voice UI, chatbots, email, customer service agents, and retail associates.LocationThis role is a Work From Near (Hybrid) role that will be based out of one of our offices (Boston, MA, Charlottesville, VA, Durham, NC, or Columbus, OH) that has a Business Development team presence.The OpportunityThe Director, Business Development role would expose you to a wide variety of businesses, many partners within those businesses, and ever-changing business and technology challenges. We employ a solutions-led strategy and are seeking consultative business development executives, rather than transactional or sales-led business development professionals.This role will join the team as part of one of our quickly evolving industry verticals at WillowTree (Consumer or Financial Services), focused on building partnerships and solutions for prospective clients. Specific focus areas will include both the expansion of WillowTree’s current footprint and entry into emerging sectors within one of these industry verticals.Responsibilities• Introduce WillowTree's business, proposition, people, and capabilities to new client prospects via calls/meetings• Consult with potential and existing clients to define digital strategy and digital product experiences and develop creative solutions -- help frame business/technical needs, project scope• Collaborate closely with Solutions Architects to propose appropriate team/resourcing plans for client briefs and develop pricing proposals• Leverage the talents of the UX Strategy and Design Team to ideate on behalf of clients, develop concepts to pitch, and develop pitch materials• Drive the overall process to combine technical plans and creative concepts into written proposals (RFP, etc) for submission and presentations for pitches• After a deal is finalized, you’ll work hand-in-hand with Project Management, Engineering, and Design leads to guide the overall product delivery and own the client relationship at the highest level• Build and maintain relationships with clients to expand partnerships, and extend WillowTree services on a client-by-client basis• Assist with developing strategies and plans for developing and deepening account• You must have the ability to travel up to 25% for client visits, pitches, and conferencesQualifications• Minimum of 3 years of consulting experience in a digital or technology environment.• Experienced working with, and presenting to, C-level professionals of Fortune 5000 companies• Deep understanding of software development• Skilled problem solver and value driver for clients.
