Wireless System Verification Engineer

Our ideal candidate for the Wireless System Verification Engineer position is a hands-on, self-driven engineer with a strong aptitude for HW and SW debugging, has a good working knowledge of wireless systems from PHY/MAC layer perspectives, is comfortable with linux and has a strong motivation to learn the operation of wireless products, triage system level product issues and test cutting-edge wireless products.

Job Responsibilities:

• Design and develop test plans and implement automation scripts for testing of wireless systems & analysis of results.
• Work closely with systems engineers to develop and implement tests, validate tests, assess system performance.
• Triage HW and SW issues, and make improvements to maintain a high level of availability and robustness of the highly automated system performance test platforms.
• Support development and expansion of continuous test regression pipelines.
• Review performance metric trends to identify issues or areas of improvement. Conduct cross-validation across SW and HW versions, triage potential product issues, and support system engineers with verification of product enhancements.
• Assist in evolving data analysis methods including outlier detection and classification.

Required Skills & Experience:

• BSEE required/MSEE preferred with RF/wireless communication focus
• Wireless PHY/MAC/RF background with device/system verification experience
• Articulate with Python scripting, plotting, statistical data analysis and automation
• Ability to learn complex systems quickly and is not afraid to face new challenges
• Strong triage and analysis skills, with ability to design and execute targeted tests to box the problem
• Excellent analytical skills and a go-getter attitude
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Skills/Experience:

• 5+ years of experience in wireless system/device performance validation with RF or PHY and MAC focus
• Experience developing scripts for statistical analysis and automation
• Working experience with OFDM wireless system development and validation preferably with LTE/5G-NR, IEEE 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax/ad/ay
• Experience with TCP/UDP traffic generation tools, traffic testing and protocol level debug
• Working experience with Linux systems, GIT, GitLab, and Jira
