Quantitative Intern

WisdomTree is looking for a summer intern to assist in several infrastructure projects related to our fixed income analytical platform.  The interns will work with our fixed income team including our Chief Investment Officer, Fixed Income on interesting projects that will provide exposure to various facets of fixed income and analytical development. The tasks will entail a significant amount of programming and database manipulation done and proficiency with Python and SQL is a requirement for the position. This position presents the opportunity to gain valuable, impactful experience within a dynamic and innovative investment company.

• Working with the Fixed Income Quantitative Analyst to implement and develop aspects extensions of the firm’s analytical fixed income infrastructure
• Ability to analyze, manipulate and automate large datasets
• Ability to transform investment methodologies into implementation programming code with Python.
• Implementing frameworks and developing applications for Data visualization
• Bring insights from investment factor data to life through software development and analytical tools.

• Experience within the financial industry is preferable
• Passion for the financial markets and exchange traded fund industry is essential
• Current participation in a graduate program in Data Science, Computational Finance, or Mathematical Economics is desired
• Past course work or experience in Empirical Finance or Economics
• Expertise in working with large datasets and/or programming languages including SQL and Python
• Familiarity with data visualization utilizing Dash and BI is preferable
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
• Strong attention to detail and exceptional work ethic as well as time and process management skills
• Creativity to solve problems and present ideas from a variety of angles  
• Ability to thrive in a fast paced and challenging work environment
