Wisk’s internship experience is a 12 week, hands-on program. Our goal for our internship program is to see what it’s like to be a full time Wisk employee and complete meaningful work.


We are looking for a Maintenance Engineering Intern to join our team for summer 2025. The goal of a maintenance engineering intern at Wisk is to contribute to the aircraft maintainability assessment/report and product service processes development. You will be part of the Maintenance Engineering and publications team that is responsible for maintenance planning, technical publications, life cycle engineering and product services.


Responsibilities:
  • As part of the Reliability, Availability, Maintainability and Safety (RAMS) organization, and deployed in a Maintenance engineering and publications team you will act as a maintenance engineering and publications for a novel type of aircraft development targeting the autonomous UAM market
  • You will take part in influencing design aspects to optimize maintainability and product services.
  • You will support maintainability and product services activities.
  • You will help support problem solving activities related to maintainability.
  • You will help coordinate and execute migration of maintainability assessment and forecast to Relyence software.
  • You will take part in maintainability reviews and interface discussions.
  • In some areas, you will be working closely with engineering, reliability and airline.
  • As a maintenance engineering and publications intern, you will help create reports and processes related to maintainability and product services
  • As part of reliability engineering, you will help analyze one or more sub-subsystems by investigating their failure modes and corresponding effects.
  • You will also investigate potential causes of failures and recommend mitigations
  • You will occasionally work with suppliers to obtain and review failure mode analysis
  • You will review test plans, monitor testing and summarize test results
  • You may perform test data mining to investigate patterns in failure data


Requirements:
  • Must be currently pursuing a bachelors, masters or PhD degree with an expected graduation date between December 2025 and June 2027
  • Engineering B.S. student, senior level
  • You have worked on other mechanical or electrical projects
  • You have hands-on experience on maintenance or design or testing.
  • You have a strong and applied understanding in processes.
  • You have familiarity with Basic Statistics


Hourly rate will be $25 USD an hour.


This internship role will be based at Wisk's office in Mountain View, California and relocation or housing will not be provided.


Eligibility Requirements For US

Must be able to work on-site in Mountain View, CA

You must be legally authorized to work in the US for the duration of Internship. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position

Must live in the US at both the time of application AND at the time the internship begins

Must be either a rising sophomore, junior, or senior in college

Must have a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 3.0, transcripts are required

Must be an enrolled student at both the time of application AND at the time the internship begins

Must be able to work 40 hours a week for 12 weeks (full-time for 3 months)
