About the job


We are looking for a dynamic and curious individual to join our Credit Operations team as a Verifications Officer. As we continue to grow, this position would be ideal for someone with proven experience in reviewing consumer credit applications, and is looking for a career in a fast paced environment.


You will form a key part of the loan process in ensuring that loans are reviewed and processed within suitable time frames while working closely with the wider Operations team. 


Key Responsibilities

Verify and validate that all regulatory and lending policies are adhered to

• Review and interpret bank statements to ensure the correct information is disclosed and captured on consumer loan applications

• Perform loan serviceability checks as well as identity checks and fraud detection and prevention

• Ensure compliance with NCCP, RG209, Privacy Act and AML/CTF

• Help contribute to process and policy improvements within the company operations


About you


• Experience in consumer lending is preferred

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in note taking

• Sound working knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements for consumer lending

• Highly organised and adaptable to change

• Strong communication and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work autonomously

• Excellent phone manner and ability to build strong internal and external relationships
