Business Intelligence Analyst

As part of our Options Market Making Team, you will work with traders, quantitative analysts, and partners to translate valuable data into reports and dashboards to be used in important decision making.  You will be part of a small team with high exposure to the leaders of the firm.  Your work will include gathering needs from team members that are essential to improving our trading strategies to produce dashboards and reports in Tableau or SQL.  You will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing any data sources used in these reports.  You will also have the opportunity to review and access data and have your discoveries contribute to the growth of the business.

Responsibilities:

·         Gather business needs from traders, quantitative analysts, and partners

·         Create and maintain data sources

·         Design dashboards, reports, visualizations, and alerts that drive business decisions

·         Scan reports for anomalies and opportunities and provide business recommendations

·         Identify and communicate observations to senior management and team members to impact revenue

·         Must be able to work in our Chicago Loop office 5 days a week

Qualifications:

·         Bachelor’s degree in financial engineering, computer science, finance, economics, mathematics, or related field

·         History of academic excellence

·         Strong analytical skills

·         Problem solver

·         Knowledge of SQL

·         Experience with Tableau or other BI software

·         Ability to gather and analyze large sets of data

·         Ability to work well with others in a group

·         Ability to communicate effectively
