About the role:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager, Workforce Planner with a strong background in restaurant operations, and labor analysis, specifically focusing on optimizing staffing levels, scheduling, waste reduction, and workforce design and deployment. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in enhancing operational effectiveness, optimizing labor resources, and contributing to overall business success.

 

Workforce Optimization

- Develop and implement staffing strategies to meet operational demands and maintain exceptional customer service standards.

- Analyze historical data and current trends to forecast labor needs accurately.

- Utilize workforce management tools to generate reports and analyze key performance metrics.

- Oversee the implementation of workforce management solutions and software.

 

Scheduling and Deployment

- Create and manage employee schedules to align with business objectives and ensure optimal staffing during peak hours.

- Collaborate with General Managers to address staffing gaps and implement solutions.

- Provide insights and recommendations for labor cost reduction initiatives.

 

Labor Analysis and Management

   - Conduct thorough labor analysis to optimize staffing levels, scheduling, and deployment, ensuring alignment with business needs.

   - Develop and implement effective labor management strategies to enhance productivity, minimize overtime, and control labor costs.

   - Identify waste reduction opportunities within the operations to minimize food waste.

- Analyze how the kitchen design, menus, menu items, and team members steps impact labor. Develop initiatives that address and ensure efficiencies.

 

Labor Reduction Initiatives

   - Identify and implement initiatives to reduce labor-related costs while maintaining high service standards.

   - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to introduce automation and technology solutions to enhance operational efficiency.

 

Communication and Development

   - Develop key drivers and analysis for the HDR sites, focusing on efficiency, quality, waste reduction, and labor management.

   - Foster effective communication between departments regarding staffing needs, changes, and challenges.

   - Collaborate with HR, Operations, and other relevant teams to address workforce-related issues and implement solutions.

 

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Hospitality, or related field.

- 7-9 years of experience in restaurant operations with an emphasis on scheduling and waste reduction.

- Proven experience in restaurant operations, workforce planning, and scheduling, preferably in a quick-service restaurant environment.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Proficient in using workforce management software and tools.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

 

Salary: $157, 500 -$170,625
