Wonderlic is focused on leading the way in fair, predictive science to create a world where everyone has and succeeds in their best job, and that starts with you! We leverage I-O science to deliver evidence-based insights to predict and maximize employee potential using simple, intuitive assessment tools, and to make sure our team is engaged and equipped to do their best work. Our team is comprised of passionate professionals dedicated to pushing the boundaries of talent assessment while maintaining a commitment to scientific excellence.
Wonderlic has always championed progressive, sustainable approaches to building a culture that allows people to do their best work while living their best lives. Here are some of the ways we do that:
At Wonderlic, we specialize in talent assessment, leveraging our expertise to predict potential. Our commitment lies in scientific advancements that empower organizations to identify and retain top talent effectively. Embedded within our approach are the principles of Industrial-Organizational Psychology, serving as the foundation for everything we do.
What Sets Us Apart:
Wonderlic seeks an experienced Consultant with specialized expertise leveraging talent assessments to support an organization’s talent strategy from employee selection to individualized employee development.
You will spend the majority of your time providing value-added consulting services to our largest and most complex clients to enhance our assessment solutions. More specifically, you will work cross-functionally with our Customer Success and Sales teams to engage clients by scoping client needs and proposing appropriate solutions (e.g., job analyses, local validation studies, adverse impact analyses, ROI studies, and talent audits). Once sold, you will be responsible for project management, from implementation to presentation of findings, of the proposed solution.
We’re looking for someone comfortable working both autonomously and collaboratively with peers. Although most of your projects will be yours to own, we work on internal team-based projects as well.
In short, you’re a hard-working talent assessment expert who’s willing and able to mentor team members while providing a successful, positive experience for our customers. Essential Functions:
Supervisory Responsibilities: None
Reports to: Director of Applied Science & Culture
Target Total Compensation: $95,000 to $150,000 based on expertise, education, and experience as a combination of base and performance-based variable pay
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time, exempt position, featuring a remote-first work environment, a 4-day workweek, and a flexible and balanced work model
Travel: 0-25%: occasional travel to the office for company events, client engagement, and professional development including conferences like SIOP, BIOP, SHRM, ATD, and HRTech
Required Education and Experience: Must possess an advanced degree in Industrial-Organizational Psychology or a closely related field, and at least 7 years of experience in a specialized role within Selection and Assessment, Talent Development, or a similar consulting capacity.
Preferred Education and Experience: Ph.D. in I-O Psychology is ideal and 10+ years of experience in Selection and Assessment, Talent Development, or human capital consulting role
Additional Eligibility Qualifications: Proficiency in statistical software (e.g., R, Tableau) is expected. Familiarity with the lived experience of talent acquisition and talent development professionals.
Affirmative Action Plan/Equal Employer Opportunity (AAP/EEO) Statement: Research suggests that both the confidence gap and imposter syndrome can make members of some groups (including women, members of the LGBTQIA+ and BIPOC communities, and candidates of less traditional age, education, or background) less likely to apply for jobs when they don’t meet 100% of the qualifications. At Wonderlic, we are in the business of identifying potential, and we encourage all interested candidates to apply.
Wonderlic is proud to be an equal employment opportunity/affirmative action employer. Here, diversity is valued and celebrated, and this is what makes us such a successful team. Wonderlic does not discriminate in employment on the basis of race, color, religion, gender, gender identity, pregnancy status, national origin, sexual orientation, marital status, disability, genetic information, age, parental status, military/veteran status, or any other factor protected by law.
