Overview

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Survey Technician with SUE experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in utility investigations and mapping, combined with a passion for accuracy and detail. This role involves working on exciting projects, from infrastructure development to urban planning.

Responsibilities

Conduct utility investigations using SUE methods (Levels A-D).
Operate and maintain surveying and utility detection equipment (GPR, electromagnetic locators, GNSS equipment, etc.).
Collect detailed utility locations to create reports and deliverables using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or GIS software.
Collaborate with Project Managers and Team leaders to ensure data accuracy and project success.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
This role requires extensive travel, including the possibility of multi-day deployments both within the state and across the country.

Qualifications

2+ years of experience in land surveying and SUE practices.
Proficiency in GNSS, total stations, and data processing software.
Strong understanding of SUE standards (ASCE 38-22) and utility mapping techniques.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Valid driver's license and ability to travel as needed.
Good physical condition and the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and various terrain.
