About the Role:

The Engineering Manager will be responsible for leading the Engineering team to success by providing mentorship, managing performance, and identifying and scoping their team's work in partnership with functional leadership for one of our US clients based in Buenos Aires.

Responsibilities:

* Manage the team’s day-to-day operations, ensuring a supportive and cohesive environment that promotes overall well-being. Conduct regular check-ins and performance reviews to recognize achievements and support professional growth. Mentor and guide engineers to facilitate career advancement and promotions, while leading recruitment efforts from identifying and interviewing to onboarding new members aligned with team goals.

* Facilitate Scrum ceremonies to keep sprint goals aligned and ensure effective Agile practices. Develop and implement project plans and schedules, prioritizing maintenance tasks and managing resources, budgets, and team workload. Lead continuous improvement efforts by optimizing workflows and adapting project management techniques.

* Collaborate closely with Product and other cross-functional teams, engaging in ideation and contributing technical insights to refine product ideas. Ensure synchronized goals and timelines across departments, facilitating smooth project hand-offs.

* Provide leadership in resolving complex technical issues, fostering a collaborative problem-solving environment. Maintain high-quality standards and stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to enhance team processes and outcomes. Ensure SLAs for team-owned services are met, guaranteeing reliable performance and timely deliveries.

* Monitor and track team KPIs to evaluate individual and team progress. Provide regular performance updates to stakeholders, highlighting achievements and identifying areas for improvement.

• 8+ years of Software development experience and 3+ years leading a team of 5 or more developers
• Experience as a software engineer - our techstack is: Java Core, GWT, MongoDB, AWS, Elasticsearch, JavaScript, React
• Desire to mentor a diverse team to personal and collective success delivering projects on time and within budget.
• Knowledge of security frameworks and secure coding techniques
• Ability to perform code reviews and mentor developers on code quality and scalability
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and software development life cycle
• A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field or equivalent work experience
• Bonus experience would include IHE TF, HL7, FHIR, JMS, Redis, and ActiveMQ
• Willingness to work a hybrid schedule, 2 days in the office (Puerto Madero area) and 3 remote.
