Workday Quality Assurance Engineer

Company: Leading Healthcare Manufacturer and Distributor

Location: Remote

Duration: 8–10-month contract

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quality Assurance Engineer to join our dynamic team at a leading healthcare manufacturer and distributor, currently undergoing an enterprise-wide Workday implementation. As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the overall operating performance of our healthcare-focused organization by testing and verifying the functionality, performance, and reliability of the Workday software and its various modules.

Our client is a leading manufacturer and distributor of medical products with a rich history and a global workforce of 30,000 professionals. They specialize in delivering high-quality surgical supplies, medical devices, and innovative solutions to healthcare professionals in diverse care settings, collaborating with distribution partners and original equipment manufacturers to offer a comprehensive range of medical consumables and essential products for optimal patient care.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and document test plans, test cases, and test scenarios for specific Workday modules on implementation projects.
  • Execute test cases and verify the functionality, performance, and reliability of Workday modules, ensuring that they meet the established quality standards.
  • Identify gaps and issues in the implementation of Workday modules and effectively communicate them to the development and business teams for resolution.
  • Work closely with the business users to understand their requirements and gather appropriate test data to simulate real-world scenarios.
  • Participate in issue resolution processes by investigating, documenting, and reporting software defects and working closely with the development team to ensure timely resolution.
  • Conduct regression testing to ensure that resolved issues do not adversely affect existing functionalities.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to obtain sign-off on the tested functionalities and ensure that they meet the business requirements.
  • Continuously enhance the testing process by identifying areas for improvement and implementing best practices and tools to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Quality Assurance Engineer, with a focus on testing Workday software and its modules.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in functional end-to-end workflow testing, including test planning and execution.
  • Familiarity with REST API and integration testing.
  • Prior experience with Workday Integration is preferred.
  • Proficiency in developing test plans, test cases, and test scripts for complex software applications.
  • Experience with test management tools and defect tracking systems.
  • Solid understanding of software testing methodologies, principles, and practices.
  • In-depth knowledge of Workday software and its various modules, such as HCM, Finance, Payroll, Time Tracking, Absence Management, and Recruiting.
  • Familiarity with HR and financial processes and practices in a healthcare environment is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: $60.00 - $75.00 per hour
