In Delaware’s 2024 Primary Election, DE WFP will be supporting Collin O’Mara for Governor as well as a slate of down-ballot candidates. To support their election, DE WFP will be running a coordinated field plan that integrates the governor campaign with several of the target down ballot races to reach as many voters as possible in those districts.
The WFP Coordinated Campaign Manager is responsible for co-creating and implementing the WFP Coordinated field plan — defining clear goals, coordinating with the campaigns to target voters, recruiting volunteers, and managing a paid canvass team to implement those goals. The Campaign Manager will work directly with the DE Political Director to implement the goals.
The Campaign Manager is responsible for helping to build the capacity of our volunteer-driven organizing apparatus. If applicable, the Campaign Manager should help volunteers and canvassers to build skills and sharpen their organizing analysis over time.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities - Work with DE Political Director to set goals, tracking and direction for the field organizing program - including targeting, win number, goal of voter contact attempts etc.
- Build and maintain relationships with all campaigns and their teams, in order to best fit the coordinated field plan and assign turfs effectively.
- Recruit and help others recruit volunteers for coordinated canvasses, phone banks, text banks, and other activities.
- Adjust the scope and capacity of the field program to meet the changing and growing demands of campaigns and the organization as a whole.
- Help to lead the hiring process, and provide supervision, training, leadership, and support for paid canvassers, including periodic training in field skills as needed.
- Manage deadlines and expectations for paid canvassers in the campaign.
- Develop and manage voter contact campaigns and scripts such as canvassing, text-banking, phone-banking, relational etc.
- Create systems for tracking metrics across the three campaigns, track all necessary metric goals.
- Prepare weekly and campaign ending reports, for both internal and external reporting.
Skills and Qualifications- Delaware resident (necessary).
- Access to a car or other reliable transportation (necessary).
- Willingness to travel throughout the State and attend a number of in person meetings and events.
- At least two years of previous political campaign experience, including field/canvass management experience, and staff supervision.
- Familiarity with key campaign organizing tools, including NGP VAN or other CRM tool, Scale2Win, Spoke P2P Texting.
- Strong computer skills (Excel, Google Drive, Google Mail).
- Understanding of both issue organizing and electoral organizing as means of building power.
- Ability to develop voter contact programs with quantifiable goals and metrics and to measure progress towards goals and adjust plans to fit changing campaign needs and circumstances.
- Experience with managing people to accomplish a set of goals.
- Excellent judgment, professionalism, and ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Ability to lead, motivate and inspire a team.
- Strong problem solving skills, including ability to respond quickly and effectively to unforeseen challenges.
- Effective listening, probing, and assessment skills.
- Strong planning and organizational skills.

What Else Should You Know- Compensation: The salary range for this position is $60,000-$75,000. The final salary for this role will be determined based on our Pay Scale, which takes into consideration years of experience, geographic location, and final job description.

- Location and Travel: HYBRID NO OFFICE You may work remotely, but you must be located in Delaware in order to attend in person meetings and events approximately 2 days per week.
- Schedule: The position is temporary and full time, ending September 13th, 2024.
- Union Affiliation: WFP is a unionized workplace. This is a short term temporary role that is not eligible for inclusion in WFP’s staff bargaining unit.
