Hudson Valley Organizer

About the Working Families Party

The Working Families Party (WFP) is the progressive party for the multiracial working class, fighting for a nation that works for the many, not the few. We recruit, train, and support transformational candidates up and down the ballot — and run them to win.

We believe that no matter where we come from or what our color, most of us want the same things. We want to earn enough to thrive, not just survive, and leave a better future for our kids. We want healthy food and clean water, safe neighborhoods and a safe world. We want to be free.

The Working Families Party is regular people coming together across our differences to make a better future for us all. We’re a multiracial party that fights for workers over bosses and people over the powerful. We want an America which realizes the promise – unrealized in our history – of freedom and equality for all.

The role of Hudson Valley Organizer is key for building a base and to mobilize our members, supporters and community organizations around issues, our theory of change and our electoral campaigns with attention to New York’s Vote WFP, local, and Congressional races. The person in this role will execute mobilizing strategies to help achieve our goals this cycle: (1) drive a minimum of 250,000 New Yorkers to vote for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz on the Working Families Party line, (2) flip the US House through coordinated efforts in battleground districts in New York, (3) protect WFP champions in the state legislature, and (4) pick up seats to grow our Working Families Party coalition. As part of the organizing team, the organizer coordinates with WFP staff, members of WFP affiliate organizations and chapters, and other colleagues to connect our growing grassroots base with the day to day strategic goals of the New York WFP.
