Economic Empowerment Program Supervisor

To provide supervision, training, and support to the Economic Empowerment LEP case managers, working in close alignment with the LEP Program Manager to ensure holistic program oversight. This position requires continuous collaboration with the Program Manager, who oversees the LEP contracted caseload, to guarantee contract compliance in line with the Mission, Vision, Values, and policies of World Relief. The role involves a high level of coordination with other staff at World Relief to maintain seamless and integrated service delivery.


Role & Responsibilities

  • This role is responsible for supervising others and includes responsibilities consistent with supervising employees including but not limited to monitoring daily work activities, tracking and approving timesheets including approving time off, monitoring performance including entering goals, progress check-ins, and weekly or bi-weekly check-ins, documenting performance concerns, entering staff promotions, transitions, and separations in HRIS within required time frame. Managers at World Relief are also considered spiritual leaders and are expected to lead staff in a manner consistent with our Christian values including but not limited to praying with staff, leading devotionals, and fostering a Christian environment in interactions with staff throughout World Relief.
  • Co-lead weekly team meetings to coordinate team/volunteer/intern efforts. 
  • Participate in all World Relief Economic Empowerment related meetings whether internally or in the community. 
  • Manage direct report PTO, timesheets and overtime requests 
  • Distribute LEP referrals as appropriate to case managers. 
  • Directly oversee and manage Economic Empowerment case management services to ensure that service needs are met; ensure EE staff are connecting clients to resources within our community and/or within WR office services via referral process. Advocate for clients to receive services 
  • Perform 1:1 meetings as necessary for professional development/coaching/goal creation: performance evaluations with direct reports. 
  • Provide staff with ongoing support for the delivery of core services and case management 
  • Use a strengths-based approach to supervision, ensuring case management staff are provided with the tools they need to meet their goals and objectives, and assess and monitor progress 
  • Provide support to EE staff, problem solve with staff and provide regular updates to the Director. 
  • Coordinate with LEP Program manager to schedule/provide trainings to improve service quality and operations, to improve strengths-based and trauma informed care approaches in casework, and to improve skills and knowledge of resources; develop detailed program guidelines, procedures, workflows, and training supports for staff 
  • In collaboration with LEP case managers, explore ways to engage and empower volunteers to meet client/department needs.
  • In collaboration with LEP Program Manager, direct the daily activities of direct reports including prioritizing daily and weekly work responsibilities 
  • In collaboration with LEP Program Manager, ensure all issues with compliance are communicated and resolved. Inspect, don’t expect.
  • Provide supervision to interns and volunteers within the program as needed
  • Take between one and three employment cases if needed.
  • Attend trainings and conferences as requested by the department director.


Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Adaptable to ever changing situations and needs. 
  • Knowledge of EJAS and reporting.
  • Proficient on Excel
  • Bilingual preferred
  • Cultural sensitivity and understanding of client confidentiality. 
  • Must have first-hand experience with the “refugee” experience.
  • Experience with cross-cultural communication and the ability to work with clients from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.


Requirements
  • Mature and personal Christian faith

  • Desire to serve and empower the Church to impact vulnerable communities
  • Able to affirm and/or acknowledge World Reliefs Core Beliefs, Statement of Faith, Christian Identity and National Evangelicals For the Health of The Nation document
  • Computer literate, with proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Excel and Word) and internet applications required. 
  • Superior written and verbal communication.
  • 2 years’ relevant experience such as direct services and case file maintenance.
  • Valid driver’s license and able to pass the background check and MVR. 
  • Some evening or weekend work may be needed.


$24 - $26 an hour

·         While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to have ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations

WORK ENVIRONMENT: 

 

·         General office setting. World Relief also offers hybrid and remote schedules for limited positions.

·         Great lengths of time working on computer, reading from computer screen, entering information, standing at copier or fax machine, and some time on the phone or in virtual meetings may be required.

·         Year-end archiving activities involve repeated lifting and bending.
