ORGANIZATION SUMMARY
World Relief is a global Christian humanitarian organization whose mission is to boldly engage the world’s greatest crises in partnership with the church. This position is contingent upon the successful acquisition of additional funding and may be subject to modification or termination based on the availability of resources.
World Relief is looking for a passionate Fundraising Coordinator to help advance our mission of empowering vulnerable communities by leading a donor-centered annual giving strategy. In this role, you’ll inspire individuals, churches, foundations, and businesses to join us in transforming lives through partnership and support of World Relief Quad Cities’ impactful programs. Together, we can create lasting change and build flourishing communities.
ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:- Lead Fundraising Efforts to Support World Relief (Quad Cities and surrounding vicinity)
- Implement a fundraising plan covering all stages of donor relations: Identification, Qualification, Cultivation, Solicitation, and Stewardship.
- Execute an Annual Campaign in partnership with office leadership to raise essential funds.
- Facilitate connections between the Executive Director, Director of Development and Outreach, Director of Grants Management, and key donors for personalized engagement.
- Collaborate with the Communications Department and Community Engagement Team for Lead Generation
- Align with the Communications Department and Community Engagement Team to implement brand amplification strategies, including email campaigns and in-person outreach.
- Build connections between the Communications Department and broader audience to collect compelling stories that inspire deeper involvement from volunteers, donors, and church partners
- Track and analyze lead generation efforts to improve donor acquisition and engagement.
- Engage Churches and Communities
- Partner with the Church and Community Engagement team to grow WRQC’s network of church partnerships and integrate giving into outreach efforts.
- Promote and support events to increase donor engagement and deepen church partnerships.
- Facilitate presentations to churches and other organizations about World Relief’s work in the Quad Cities upon request.
- Plan and Execute Fundraising Events
- Coordinate and assist with fundraising events, ensuring they inspire giving and increase awareness.
- Collaborate on event planning and promotion to drive attendance and engagement.
- Seek sponsorship for agency events, such as the annual Gala and 5k.
- Steward Funder and Donor Relationships
- Manage private funder relationships, including event participation, site visits, and ongoing communication in partnership with the Director of Grants Management.
- Approach new private funders, such as local private grantors who do not advertise annual giving cycles or request applications, via phone call or in-person visit.
- Follow up with donors and sponsors to maintain continuous communication and connections.
- Other responsibilities as needed to further fundraising goals and support the mission of World Relief Quad Cities.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:- Mature and personal Christian faith
- Committed to the mission, vision, and values of World Relief
- Desire to serve and empower the Church to impact vulnerable communities
- Able to affirm and/or acknowledge World Reliefs Core Beliefs, Statement of Faith, Christian Identity and National Evangelicals For the Health of The Nation document
- Undergraduate degree or combination of related education and experience
- 3 years of related professional work, at least one year in the nonprofit sector
- Strong Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for communication and reporting.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Must have a valid driver’s license, access to reliable transportation and ability to travel to meetings or events.
- Must be comfortable with making asks in-person, over the phone, and digitally.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:- Experience with CRM software (Raiser’s Edge NXT, MS Dynamics, Salesforce, HubSpot, others)

$48,000 - $50,000 a year
Compensation is commensurate with experience.
