As a member of the growing Security Engineering team in the Trust department, there’s a lot of room to make your mark. Through this role, you will take a hands-on approach to building and scaling foundational security programs for Wrapbook with a focus on operational security. Leverage your technical expertise to own and execute on the roadmap for Wrapbook SecOps capabilities.
To accomplish your mission you will perform a variety of activities such as: plan and prioritize projects, implement and build tools, define processes, and perform training.
In your first year you will impact our program by:
Assessing the state of existing security operations capabilities and defining a prioritized strategy to improve the SecOps program over time.
Evolving Security Incident Response processes, playbooks, and training.
Taking full ownership of operating and maintaining our Vulnerability Management program and tools. Performing security assessments and coordinating third party penetration testing.
Participating in threat modeling discussions, providing guidance on threats and how to defend and mitigate risk. Defining and Refining security alerts, improving the value achieved from logs and 24x7 monitoring.
Owning Security’s on-call rotation and practices, improving clarity, defining metrics, and driving improvements. Drive root cause analysis conversations and incident retrospectives. Keep a pulse on threats to Wrapbook customers and our brand, learning about tools and tactics used.
Building fruitful relationships with partners and stakeholders to ensure security processes integrate with, and support, cross functional teams.
Participating in building an effective security culture across Wrapbook through training, presentations, and promoting best practices.
Technical expertise:
You have at least 5 years of experience working in Security and are able to demonstrate knowledge of core Security basics (ex: Confidentiality, Availability, Least Privilege, Integrity, RBAC, OWASP top ten)
A strong technical security background in cloud and web applications. You are able to understand network and architecture diagrams to infer and recommend security controls and techniques appropriate to application, infra, and network layers.
A working knowledge of common enterprise and SaaS technologies (ex: employee IAM, Endpoint posture management, DLP).
Experience setting up and tuning Security Information Event Monitoring tools
Understanding of Vulnerability Management programs, tools, and processes
Experience as a part of Security Incident Response team
Ability to break down big problems into actionable project phases, leading yourself and others to achieve technical outcomes.
Empathy for customers, thoughtful listening, and strong written communication skills.
Critical thinking and analytical energy to solve problems and navigate ambiguity. Curiosity and excitement to learn what you don’t yet know.
Data backed approach to solve, measure and refine.
While not required, you will stand out as a candidate if you have:
Familiarity with compliance and security frameworks (ex: NIST, SOC 2, ISO 27001)
Hands on experience performing security assessments
AWS cloud expertise
Ability to build trust and relationships with fully virtual team members
