About the Opportunity
Foundation Year is a first-year, one-year program that works exclusively with students from Boston and provides an array of wrap-around supports. Writing specialists are essentially writing tutors who work with students in the program, helping them with writing assignments for humanities and social science classes. Writing specialists also contribute to the holistic nature of the program by being in touch with professors and advisors about students and reporting on the progress they are making.
The program seeks candidates who could work in person about 15-25 hours per week at a rate of $33 per hour.
Qualifications:
Preferred candidates include those who have degrees in English, experience in teaching or tutoring writing, and experience working with high school or college students from diverse backgrounds.
Please include a resume and cover letter when applying for the position.
