Job Description

This is a true hybrid communications role with a strong focus on PR, we need someone with high quality story telling skills, and the ability to form strong media relationships to pitch our stories. You will work closely with the Marketing team on identifying key subject matter, supporting both our campaigns and business objectives.

Internally we need a person who can assist our leadership team in clearly communicating with our team regularly, and engaging with our employees spread throughout Australia bringing them together as one team. 

This role will be part of the national Marketing team, based out of the Sydney office. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute the media engagement strategy including the development and distribution of media releases and managing media reach out and follow up.
  • Identifying key external partners and influencers to share our stories to educate and inform the community.
  • Plan and execute PR & media campaigns to achieve high reach/value media coverage across national and local channels.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of PR and Media strategy and campaigns.
  • Management of content for our intranet.
  • Development and production of internal communications materials for written applications (EDM’s, intranet etc), internal presentations (in person and online), and video content.
  • Production of internal EDM’s.
  • Assistance to the leadership team with their communications to the broader team internally, and externally.

Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualifications and/or relevant experience in journalism, public relations, marketing or communications.
  • 4+ years experience working in a PR/internal communications role
  • A positive, can-do attitude, and experience in engaging with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and presentation skills.
  • Experience in reporting on external media engagement.
  • The ability to strategically identify and leverage media opportunities.
  • Strong knowledge of digital communications platforms i.e. Intranet, Marketing Cloud, PR platforms (PRWire etc)
  • Strong skills in Indesign, Photoshop, Premier Pro (video production), Powerpoint, Word, Excel
