Location: Aberdeen, Glasgow, Edinburgh or London and we encourage hybrid working
Purpose of the Role
Xodus is looking for a candidate who will lead our Wind Resource and Energy Yield Analysis capability. You will be a motivated and energised individual who is well-connected with a well-developed network of contacts with experience in complex EYA and Project Developments such as Early Stage Development through to, Leasing and Technical Due Diligence. In a position of responsibility and influence right from the start, you will be based in the UK, ideally in London, Aberdeen, Glasgow or Edinburgh offices, where hybrid working and other working patterns can be accommodated.
The Wind Resource and Energy Yield Analysis capability at Xodus was established three years ago. Since launching early in 2020, we have been working with various clients, both onshore and offshore. Our work is varied and includes standalone EYA assessments as well as providing Wind Analysis / Energy Yield support for larger early stage projects run by the wider Group. Ultimately, we bring together talented and motivated people who understand the bigger picture by making energy solutions technically, economically, ethically, and environmentally sustainable. We are looking for someone to take this offering even wider, to offer more to clients, and to an even wider client base.
Do you have some of the following?
You will sit within our Renewables Project Development Team, working closely with our clients to understand their requirements and needs in order to provide best quality and value work. You will discuss work scopes and provide proposals to clients, and ultimately carry out and manage wind resource and energy yield analyses at various stages of project developments. Some scopes will be standalone energy yield assessments, but we expect your broader technical and industry competency and interest to mean you will get involved in our wider early stage development activities such as site identification, leasing, Clients bid support and Technical Due Diligence. Focusing on the EMEA Region, you will also provide expert wind analysis and energy yield modelling support to our international Renewables offering, particularly in APAC and the US.
As well as Technical Leadership and expertise, the role includes Business Development, Proposal Development and Line Management of team members: ensuring they are developing a strong pipeline of projects, ensuring that development opportunities are identified and that the Team are able to do their best work. There will be engagement and collaboration within the wider Xodus Group on workload, technical work and resource management.
You will also drive the continuous improvement of EYA tools and methods, collaborating with the relevant Technical Authority and our Digital and Data team.
