Position Summary


We’re growing our team and seeking a Business Partner to play a pivotal role in shaping and enhancing the company's growth. In this role, you will drive essential processes and programs that enhance organizational effectiveness, improve performance and engagement, and empower managers across teams and functions.  If you possess strong business acumen, excel in navigating through ambiguity, and can work at all levels of the HR “stack” – strategic, operational, and tactical- we want to hear from you. 


This role is located in New York City, currently operating under a hybrid model, and reporting to the Head of People in New York. 


Responsibilities:
  • Partner with leaders to provide input, insight, and advice on people-related topics, developing innovative programs and initiatives, ideally with a particular focus on: 
  • Talent acquisition- to align recruiting operations with organizational goals and priorities and partner with hiring managers to fill key positions, enhance the diversity of our organization, and improve the candidate experience; and  
  • Total rewards- to develop and activate strategies that can attract, retain, and motivate talent and reflect our philosophy, partnering with vendors to administer programs, gauge effectiveness, and drive awareness and understanding of our offerings 
  • Educate, coach, and partner with managers on performance management and employee development goals 
  • Act as a primary point of contact for employee relations issues, handling coaching moments and sensitive conversations with empathy 
  • Engage with key stakeholders to foster collaboration and build and maintain strong relationships  
  • Offer thought leadership regarding organizational and people-related strategy and execution and ensure alignment with best practices and industry trends 
  • Manage ongoing administration of human resources functions to efficiently identify, solve, and manage policies, compliance matters, and issues 
  • Provide timely information and education on HR issues across all levels of the organization  
  • Manage and lead a People Generalist and recruiter and provide leadership, direction, and mentorship to people team members overall 
  • Support additional people and culture initiatives as needed 


Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience with 7+ years in HR, including at least 2 years in a leadership role 
  • Extensive People functional expertise across multiple domains, specifically talent acquisition and total rewards, for a scaling company 
  • Highly responsive, organized, and able to manage and prioritize multiple projects/tasks  
  • Excellent communication, influence and collaboration skills across all organizational levels 
  • Strong attention to detail and consistent follow through on projects and tasks; works independently and sees initiatives through to completion. 
  • Proficiency in HR tools and technologies (experience with Lever, ADP, and BambooHR a plus)  
  • Knowledge of labor laws and regulations is advantageous 
  • Pragmatic and analytical, with a proven track record of creating data-driven people strategies for global organizations 
  • Curious with an inquisitive and innovative spirit 
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities and experience inspiring and motivating team members 
  • Experience in a fast-moving, high-growth organization, startup experience is preferred 
  • Hands-on with a scrappy mentality coupled with project management fundamentals 


Base Salary

Compensation for this role will vary among specific regions due to geographic differentials in the labor market, actual pay will be determined considering factors such as relevant skills and experience, knowledge, education and training. However, compensation in the following regions is expected to be as follows:

New York: Compensation is expected to be between

$130,000 and $165,000
