Project description
 
Our team build APIs for TiVo’s Next-Gen Platforms delivering easy, unified access to live TV, DVR, on-Demand and streaming in one iconic experience on any screen including TiVoOS TVs, Android TV™ STBs, Linux STBs, streamers, mobile and web. We build event pipelines to personalize contents for users making them watch more and search less.
 
Job purpose:
 
In this role you will design and implement solutions which will help Xperi build new products in the media domain.
 
Here’s what you get to do:
  • Design, Develop and maintain large-scale microservices applications with multiple integrations and data solutions
  • Learn and use cloud native technologies
  • Partner with business stakeholders/cross-functional teams working in a scrum (agile) model.
  • Establishing development tools and procedures focused on developer best practices, improving quality and developer experience
  • Participate in code reviews and support a collaborative environment  
  • Active involvement in performance/load testing requirements, application code release process
  • Assist with documentation, runbooks, and guides
  • Participate in monitoring, reporting, security/compliance activities
  • Monitor trends in technology; research, validate, and build recommendations to implement new technologies, frameworks, methodologies.
Who we are looking for?
  • Minimum of 5 to 10 years of individual contributor, software development experience on projects spanning the full lifecycle of development, preferably with experience in Java or Golang and developing web services.
  • Experience delivering, integrating, and deploying web services and working with partners and customers to deliver innovative solution.Experience with any of these will be an advantage:
    • Spring WebFlux
    • AWS cloud technologies – specifically APIGW, lambda, DynamoDB, RDS, EKS, MSK, WAF, CF
    • Experience with Kubernetes
    • Kafka
    • 12-factor app development and microservice mentality
    • Java, Golang
    • Jenkins, GitHub, Atlantis
    • Config-as-code automation including terraform
    • Splunk, Cloud Watch, and other observability strategies
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Passion for consumer electronics and entertainment industries
  • BE/BTech in CS/CE/EE or equivalent.
