Senior Frontend Engineer, React (Hybrid, Egypt-based)

Job Overview:

Yalent is looking for a seasoned Senior Frontend Engineer with specialized skills in React to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for architecting, coding, and optimizing high-performance, scalable, and maintainable frontend systems that meet the technical demands of Yalent.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to transform business requirements into robust, responsive, and efficient frontend architectures. This is an opportunity to contribute to an innovative platform that helps businesses optimize their recruitment and sales processes.

Working hours are from Monday to Friday, Pacific Time Zone.

Senior Frontend Engineer, Responsibilities:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 5 years of experience in front-end development with a strong focus on React.
• Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript (ES6+), with a proven ability to create responsive, cross-browser-compatible user interfaces.
• Strong Figma experience, ensuring pixel-perfect design implementation and the ability to make minor design decisions when needed.
• Attention to detail: Capable of spotting and fixing design inconsistencies, including layout, font size, color, and flow.
• Solid understanding of UI/UX principles and ability to handle incomplete design elements in Figma.
• Problem-solving skills: Able to make independent development decisions and handle issues without constant supervision.
• Knowledge of performance optimization techniques for creating efficient and smooth user experiences.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks and maintaining high-quality standards.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with designers and developers.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or any related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Frontend Engineer or in a similar role.
• Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and other related web technologies is essential.
• Extensive hands-on experience with React and its ecosystem (Redux, React Router, etc.) is required.
• Sound understanding of responsive design principles and mobile-first development is necessary.
• Prior exposure to version control systems (e.g., Git) and agile development methodologies is preferred.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills are a must.
• Strong collaboration and communication abilities are highly desired.
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience with frontend performance optimization techniques.
• Knowledge of backend technologies and frameworks (e.g., Python, Django).
• Experience with testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, Enzyme) and test-driven development (TDD).
• Familiarity with UI/UX design principles and tools (e.g., Sketch, Figma).
• Understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and solutions.
