Job DescriptionYamaha has an excellent opportunity for a Sr. Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis to join our team in Cypress, CA. In this role, the Sr. Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis will spearhead our business transformation efforts, driving the alignment of our business and financial strategies to foster sustainable growth and innovation. They will collaborate closely with stakeholders at all levels of management, contributing to the strategic vision and operational excellence the organization.What you’ll be doing:• Refine Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) capabilities to facilitate informed decision-making processes. Key focus areas encompass:• Enhancing forecast and budget accuracy by instituting a “KPI-driven budget” methodology, specifically measuring Return on Equity (ROE).• Improving internal management reporting and conducting comprehensive budget versus actual gap analyses for enhanced clarity, understanding, and precision.• Providing in-depth insights into risks, opportunities, and return on investment (ROI) to enable strategic decision making.• Develop a profound understanding of each country’s market dynamics, cultural nuances, business strategies, profit and loss structures, risks, and stakeholder relationships. Identify revenue and operating profit optimization opportunities by analyzing underlying factors that drive performance.• Act as primary point of contact for all financial analysis requirements within YMFC, fostering effective collaboration with group financial service entities and corporate divisions worldwide.• Refine management reporting templates and presentation formats for budget and actual results, bolstering comprehension, visibility, and accuracy. Conduct thorough tracking and comparison of actual performance against planned targets, providing insightful gap analyses and explanations where necessary.• Establish frameworks and tools to measure and monitor critical elements of consolidated Return on Equity (ROE).• Provide exemplary customer support to the executive team, addressing various ad-hoc requests with professionalism and efficiency.• Support company objectives and management directives by undertaking additional duties as assigned.What you’ll need to be successful:• BA / BS – Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, or related quantitative discipline required.• Master’s degree, MBA, CPA or CFA preferred.• 10+ years of FP&A related work experience required, preferably with a large multi-national company.• International experiences/education in life and experience with a Japanese/Korean company required.• Advanced level user of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint• Working knowledge of SAP (S4 Hana and Bl) or similar ERP systemKnowledge, Skills, and abilities:• Global communication skills to connect with multi-cultural global colleagues (Not only US and Japan).• Japanese language skill is preferred, however not required.• Strong analytical skills with demonstrated ability to organize, model, interpret and analyze data to identify and develop valuable insights to support decision making.• Keen understanding of business, economic and market conditions, and ability to summarize complicated matters into simple presentation/reports.• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present or communicate effectively to all levels of management.Don’t meet every single requirement? Yamaha intends to offer the selected candidate base pay dependent on job-related experience.
