What we’re looking for

We are currently looking for a Business Strategy & Operations Manager to join our team.

The role will be working across multiple initiatives ranging from corporate strategy to designing and delivering special / high-impact projects across multiple business departments.

This role will span across the business and work on a wide variety of projects and initiatives, helping to “glue together” the organisation and driving its growth.

We are looking for a self-starter with a strong work ethic, with the ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team. Someone who is able to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment where ownership, accountability, or the way forward may be unclear.

Experienced at executing complex projects with the ability to multi-task and deliver rigorous output, driving deliverables and managing risks.

This role offers the unique opportunity to report to and work with the Executive Leadership Team and be exposed to all departments across Yapily.

We are looking for someone who ideally has experience of working in Strategy Consulting, Investment Banking or “in house”, within a fast moving start-up environment or a corporate strategy department. Someone who also understands that no task is too big or small and can roll-up their sleeves and lead by example.

  • Financial Modelling to support business casing for various initiatives or building financial plans / budgets.

  • Running various strategic projects across the business, from supporting funding activities to identifying opportunities for product expansion and everything in between.

  • Building new processes to streamline efficiencies across various departments.

  • Preparing relevant updates for the Leadership Team, Board and other key stakeholders.

This list is not exhaustive, and there may be other tasks that we ask you to be involved in from time to time. Above all, you are flexible and want to add value wherever you can. You understand that in a start-up, priorities change and we all need to be adaptable. Not only will you be comfortable when asked to input and lead in other areas, but you’ll be comfortable being a self-starter and instigating changes yourself.

The ideal candidate has…

  • Experience of working in Strategy Consulting, Investment Banking or “in house”, ideally within a fast moving start-up environment or a corporate strategy department.

  • Strong financial, research and analytical skills.

  • Demonstrable experience of creating high quality deliverables; presentations or analysis.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

  • Confidence managing projects and an ability to set out clear plans and execute reliably against these.

  • Experience of managing multiple projects at priorities at once, reprioritising where required to manage workload.

  • Previous exposure to closely collaborating with and presenting to C-suite stakeholders, demonstrating high standards of deliverables across multiple disciplines.
