Position Summary

Yeo & Yeo Computer Consulting is seeking a full-time Systems Technician. The position will be responsible for assembly, installation, configuration and maintenance of a multi-environment for computers, monitors, and peripherals such as printers, scanners and related hardware. The technician is expected to undertake tasks in a fast-paced environment which will promote the seamless use of IT infrastructure for business needs.

Key Objectives

Must be able to document technical hardware and software information
Train clients in basic computer hardware and software use and maintenance
Analyze and troubleshoot hardware and software related issues as well as resolve end-user problems
Install and test new software
Ensure that software and managed services installed are properly configured, regularly updated and working on all PC’s and servers

Qualifications

2 years previous experience working in an information technology business setting
Knowledge of emerging technologies and initiatives in seeking supplement knowledge and understand of systems support
Knowledge of common computer hardware, software applications and operating systems
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot hardware issues
Demonstrate problem solving strategies and practical knowledge
Customer service driven

Preferred Abilities

Bachelor’s in computer science or related experience
A+ certification a plus
Basic knowledge of Windows Server Operating Systems

Leadership

Ability to work independently while taking responsibility for own initiatives
Excellent interpersonal skills
Learn and understand how position is critical to the success of the organization and be willing to accept responsibility and be accountable for own actions

Technology

Ability to operate standard office equipment
Strong understanding of Windows Operating Systems
Familiarity with network infrastructures

Physical Demands

Ability to maintain punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards
Frequent standing, walking, sitting, talking and hearing
Occasional lifting up to 35 lbs.
Occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, squatting, crawling, twisting, reaching, handling, feeling, near vision, midrange vision, far vision, depth perception, visual accommodation, color vision and field of vision
