Youth Program Intern

Overview:
Hourly rate $15

We are seeking a dynamic, team-oriented and caring intern that is in a four-year undergraduate degree program or a recent college graduate to join our spirited team. The length of the internship is 16-20 hours per week for 12-15 weeks. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to play an active role in workforce development, working with two different Youth Programs: Pre-Employment Transition Services (Pre-ETS) and the NCWorks Youth Program.

Scope of Position
  • Assisting program team members with in-school pre-employment preparation workshops
  • Administrative functions for program delivery: paperwork generation, assistance with workshop facilitation, relaying communication to teachers and partner staff, creating spreadsheets, data management
  • Assisting the Regional Program Director with various initiatives, projects and research
  • Engaging with program participants to collect feedback regarding their program progress and updates on their Individual Employment Plans (IEP) and Individual Service Strategies (ISS)
Responsibilities:
Essential Functions
  • Work directly with Youth Program team, and Director to assist with program delivery in the high school setting and the Lancaster Pa Careerlink
  • Contact program participants by phone, email or in-person to provide details and insight into program offerings and services
  • Interface with program partners - teachers, administrators, Career counselors, students, and employers
  • Assist with preparing materials for Youth Orientations and TANF Youth Orientations
