Research Platform Manager

Zappi is a fast growing consumer insights platform helping Fortune 500 companies deeply understand their customers. Our platform allows customers to pre-test new ideas and creative content before launch. From new products, media campaigns, names, logos, packaging or flavours, Zappi allows companies to kill bad ideas and improve on good ones. Customers can analyse their insights across their organisation and see their performance relative to the rest of their market. We bring together top expertise in data science and visualisation, UX and engineering to create a platform that allows non-expert users to make high-stakes decisions easily and confidently. Our working culture is incredibly important to us and our team – our retention is industry-leading.

So how do we do it?

Our platform provides access to actionable, quick and smart insights to amplify creative effectiveness and shape winning innovation, empowering creators with the agility and the data they need to make better decisions about the ads and innovation they take to market.

Through working with some of the biggest brands in the world, we’ve built technology that lets our customers see their product innovations and advertising ideas through their consumers’ eyes so they can quickly iterate, optimize, validate and learn — increasing their chances of in-market success.

About the team:

At Zappi, you’ll be joining a passionate team of product professionals who are on a mission to help our own world-class customers, some of the best-known B2C brands on the planet, to evolve their brands, advertising, and innovation by putting their customers at the heart of what they do. We have a best-in-class and highly differentiated product, known in the industry for agile, systematic insights gathering and analytics. We’re well on our way to being both the first, and strongest, fully end-to-end AI-assisted consumer data platform, and we need the best minds around the table with us to get us to the next level.

About the role:

We are seeking a highly motivated Associate Research Platform Manager to join our dynamic Product team. In this role, you will play a critical part in configuring and optimizing the backend of our market research software, and collaborating closely with product managers & strategists, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure that our product meets the high standards expected by our customers. You will be assisting in the design of new research products and projects and bringing them to life using Zappi’s internal platforms, all while driving quality control in everything we create.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a passion for technology and research, eager for on-the-job training, and who is curious to begin or grow their career in product management within an innovative environment.

What you'll be doing (experience is not required in all these areas, but a willingness to learn is!):

  • Collaborate with PMs and Engineering Teams: Work closely with product managers & strategists, and engineering teams, to align on product requirements, priorities, and timelines.
  • Requirement Gathering: Assist in gathering and refining product requirements from internal stakeholders and clients, translating them into technical and research specifications via epics and stories.
  • Backend Configuration: Perform day-to-day backend configuration tasks to ensure that our software meets client requirements and operates smoothly.
  • Research Design: Ensure that our platform accurately collects systematic quantitative consumer research data.
  • Product Development: Contribute to the product development lifecycle, including participating in sprint planning, testing, and release processes.
  • User Feedback & Research: Support the team in collecting and codifying feedback to identify customer needs, pain points, and opportunities for product improvement.
  • Documentation & Training: Create and maintain product documentation and assist in training internal teams on new features and configurations.
  • Operations & Process: Contribute to ongoing process, system, and ways-of-working improvement work streams through feedback, collaboration, and project management.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a consumer insights or data analytics role, but product configuration or QA experience within a SaaS environment are big pluses.
  • Proven experience in research fundamentals, such as designing questionnaires, programming surveys, and interpreting results.
  • Excellent analytical skills, and crisp attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to master new technologies, and apply your learnings within a reasonable timeframe where others may be daunted.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including product marketing, operations, and engineering.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey insights in a clear and engaging manner.
  • A self-starter with a detail-oriented approach and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
  • Familiarity with consumer behavior, market trends, and experience with advertising or innovation research.

Benefits

  • Salary range £40,000-£50,000 per annum, depending on experience. Salaries are benchmarked annually
  • One company-paid mental health day of rest every quarter (these are pre-scheduled, so the entire company can take the same days off regularly to reset)
  • Unlimited holidays – we want well rested and motivated teams so encourage people to take plenty of time off. We don’t cap your allowance, but do set a minimum of at least 20 days per year plus national holidays.
  • Private medical healthcare cover
  • Group risk, life & disability contributions
  • Flexible working arrangements, including remote (unless otherwise specified)
  • Thoughtfully designed offices to support both individual work and collaboration without interrupting others
  • Support setting up your home office, if appropriate (chair + desk, etc)
  • Wellbeing benefits such as free yoga and access to trained therapists / counsellors
  • Enhanced parental leave policies
  • Tailored personal development through training allowances, coaching, mentorship and career frameworks
