freiheit+ is a corporate start-up in Hamburg and part of the listed ZEAL Network SE. We are building a social lottery that provides extra freedom. 20% of our sales go directly to the license holder BildungsChancen gGmbH. This supports initiatives such as SOS Kinderdörfer worldwide, the German Children and Youth Foundation and the Stifterverband. As a young in-house start-up team, we at freiheit+ work in an agile manner and are open to innovation. 

The role:

We are looking for a (Senior) React Frontend Developer (f/m/d) to join our team. In this specific role you will be part of a small team being responsible for making our own charity lottery product freiheit+ successful by developing and own customer facing features and optimise our funnels. 

Your tasks:

• Technically design, develop and maintain a customer-facing webshop 

• Work closely with product-, design-, marketing- and tech-colleagues in a very lean and agile manner (startup mentality) 

• Work with Backend Developers to integrate with our RESTful APIs

• Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs 

• Test code for functionality, security and performance and write and maintain automated tests

• Automate deployments and releases together with our DevOps Engineers 

• Measure and iterate on product and funnel optimizations to increase the success rates 

• Optimize website performance for speed and efficiency

• Keep expanding your knowledge and your tech skills up to date  

What you offer us:

• You have a passion for web development with React

• You are an expert in JavaScript fundamentals, working with Next.js 14+, TypeScript and HTML5/CSS3 

• Familiarity with state-of-the-art frameworks and libraries like Tailwind CSS and React Hooks

• “You build it, you run it” mindset and you have hands on experience in deploying, monitoring, and maintaining a webshop 

• You are strong on writing performant code and clean architectures 

• You have experience with responsive design, mobile first approach

• You have experience working with JSON and interfacing with REST APIs 

• You have the ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements

• You have the drive to be pragmatic at times and build software that serves the business goals 

• You have strong communication and collaboration skills and love to support your peers and share your knowledge
