Manufacturing Consultant

Title: Quality Manufacturing Consultant

Reporting to: Welding & Technical Manager


Zeeco is seeking a Manufacturing Consultant to join our Quality Control Team. This person will be a natural problem solver and highly driven!  Zeeco’s Fabrication Specialist will travel a minimum of 65% of the time. 


Responsibilities:
  • Visit onsite sub venders
  • Manage sub vendor to build engineered to order products
  • Review capacity of facility
  • Make recommendations and process improvement for facilities
  • Assist in technical fabrication
  • Assist with failure analysis
  • Internal communication with all disciplines of engineering
  • Read and understand blueprints
  • Excellent communication skills
  • 65% international and domestic travel


Preferred Qualifications:
  • 5-10 + years of experience managing field or fabrication work
  • One of the following preferred: Bachelor of Science in engineering or related field, CWI Certification, NACE, API
  • Extensive experience with continuous process improvement and methodical problem-solving skills required.


Mental Requirements:
  • Must possess strong leadership, analytical thinking, effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with persons inside and outside of the company. Must have the ability to perform mathematical calculations related to job requirements such as layout and nozzle orientation.  Must be able to work under stress. Must be able to handle multiple priorities. Must be able to report and process paperwork effectively. 


Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to go up and down stairs. Must be able to communicate effectively. Must be able to do unaccompanied travel.  Must be able to tolerate shop environment and exposures associated with welding and industrial equipment, manufacturing, and apply appropriate safety equipment when required. Must not present a risk of injury to self or others while engaged in company duties.
