JOB SUMMARY:      

Must possess the ability to multi-task in a changing environment and have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Experience with Solomon/Dynamics and MS Project is preferred, sales and operations planning is a plus. Must have the ability to work under pressure, balancing conflicting priorities and resource constraints and have the ability to analyze and reconcile material issues.

JOB DUTIES:

· Responsible for developing and maintaining valid production schedules from the marketing forecast and/or sales order to meet customer requirements, while utilizing resources cost effectively.

· Scheduling of direct booked orders from our customer.

· Keep a valid schedule in Manufacturing Resource Planning, Solomon, Excel and/or MS Project

· Work with Procurement for material availability.

· Load and review work center detail on weekly basis.

· Keep factory workload level loaded

· Release shop orders on scheduled release dates

· Communicate ship schedules to Order Management/Shipping.

· Monitor weekly customer shipments.

· Create material strategies as needed.

· Analyze and reduce costs of materials.

· Analyze inventory levels of raw, semi finished and finished goods.

· Provide input to management regarding long term material issues that could impact corporate decisions.

· Maintenance of the material master in the manufacturing environment.

· Maintenance of shop orders.

· Review and work Exception Messages and/or material shortages daily

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum of 5 years experience in Master Scheduling with a minimum of 3-5 years in an Engineer to Order and Lean Manufacturing environment and must have APICS certification or equivalency. Must have advanced computer skills, BS or BA degree preferred. 

MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

Must possess strong leadership, analytical thinking, effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with persons inside and outside of the company.  Must have the ability to perform mathematical calculations related to job requirements.  Must be able to work under stress.   Must be able to process paperwork effectively.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Must be able to go up and down stairs.  Must be able to communicate effectively.  Must be able to do unaccompanied travel.  Must be able to tolerate shop environment and exposures associated with welding and industrial equipment manufacturing, and apply appropriate safety equipment when required. Must be able to work overtime as required.  Must not present a risk of injury to self or others while engaged in company duties.
