Req ID 72288 | Gray Court, United States ZF Transmissions Gray Court, LLCZF Gray Court is looking to add a Senior Program Buyer to the Materials Management team!What you can look forward to as a Senior Program Buyer:• Manage the whole purchasing process for new products or the localization of existing products through supplier search and Bill of Material cost management.• Support the commodity organization in their request for quotations, commercial negotiations, and contractual agreements, including warranty and consignment agreements, prototype orders and purchase orders, and/or scheduling agreements.• Responsible for achieving targets on cost reduction, localization, and flawless launch to support operation profitability, as well as for communication between cross functional tasks of the product line and the commodity purchasing for new projects and serial businesses.• Manage Systems Supply Strategy and develop cost saving methods and opportunities in order to promote overall business unit productivity and supplier competitiveness (i.e., through VA/VE methods, quoting, independent negotiations, etc.).• Manage the introduction of new technologies and innovations to secure the cost and technological leadership of our products.• Ability and willingness to travel around NA Region (10-20%)Your profile as a Senior Program Buyer:• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Economics, or related field• 6+ years of relevant experience in a professional purchasing capacity (i.e., technical/commodity purchasing, purchasing project management, purchasing management, etc.)• Experience in the automotive industry• Experience with supplier analysis and evaluation (i.e., quality, capacity, cost, etc.)• Experience with supplier bidding process, negotiation, and cost estimates• Experience with APQP and/or project management tools and methods• Deep knowledge of purchasing tools, negotiation methods, and business communications and cost improvement/containment topics and techniques• Experience with SAP and Excel (i.e., Pivot Tables, Formulas, Filters, etc.)Why Choose ZF?
