OPPORTUNITY - SOFTWARE DEVELOPER (HYBRID, REMOTE)

In this role and team, you will be reporting to the Vice President of Technology and building out Ziing’s tech stack. You will be utilizing bleeding edge technology and building products that are driven by generative Artificial Intelligence (AI). You have expertise in Microsoft tech and will be designing, developing, and maintaining software applications from start to finish. The role requires a deep understanding of both front-end and back-end development using Microsoft technologies such as C#, .NET Framework, ASP.NET, SQL Server, and Azure. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions. 

Main Duties

• Design, develop, and maintain software applications using Microsoft technologies such as C#, .NET Framework, ASP.NET, SQL Server, and Azure

• Develop user-friendly, responsive, and efficient front-end interfaces using HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript frameworks such as Angular, React, or Vue.js

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, analyze, and document functional and technical specifications

• Develop and maintain software documentation, including specifications, architecture, and design documents

• Ensure software quality by writing automated tests, debugging, and fixing software defects

• Stay up-to-date with new Microsoft technologies, industry trends, and emerging software development best practices

• Participate in code reviews and continuous improvement initiatives to ensure high-quality software solutions

What We Are Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field

• At least 5+ years of experience in developing software applications using Microsoft technologies such as C#, .NET Framework, ASP.NET, SQL Server, and Azure

• Strong experience in front-end development using HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript frameworks such as Angular, React, or Vue.js

• Experience in developing RESTful web services and APIs using ASP.NET Web API

• Knowledge of software development best practices, including Agile methodologies, code reviews, and continuous integration and delivery

• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Our Head Office is in Calgary and we offer a hybrid-flex work arrangement. Alternatively, this position is eligible for fully-remote within any region in Canada.
