Your Role

At Zip, we embed AI across all of the products including AI document extraction, AI assistant, AI risk detection, AI intake automation, and more. AI is one of our most critical investments. As a Software Engineer on the newly formed AI Lab team, you will be responsible for building new AI use cases and iterating on existing solutions. 

You Will

• Have the opportunities to build new AI use cases leveraging machine learning and GenAI technologies.

• Work closely with cross functional product and customer-facing teams to understand requirements and ship thoughtful solutions.

• Design and build highly reliable and resilient products and features.

• Write high-quality, extensible, and maintainable code.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of software engineering experience.

• BS or higher, in Computer Science or related technical field involving coding (e.g. physics or math).

• Experience building Machine Learning and AI applications in a production environment. 

• Familiarity with LLM and GenAI concepts and use cases.

• Experience with web application and API development in production environments. At Zip, our stack includes Python, Javascript, React, and GraphQL.

• Experience with industry standard build, test, deploy tools. At Zip, our stack includes Kubernetes, Spinnaker, Jenkins, Kibana, Prometheus, and Grafana.

• Ability and interest to quickly learn new frameworks, architecture patterns, and programming languages as needed.

The salary range for the Senior/Staff role is $150,000 - $250,000. The salary for this position is determined based on a variety of job-related factors that may include leveling, relevant experience, education, or particular skills and expertise.
