THE ROLE
You'll be a vital link between our customers and our workshop team. You'll split your time between managing our busy service desk, prioritising repair appointments, and efficiently handling walk-in customers. Your strong customer service skills will be essential as you triage customer inquiries, provide clear and timely updates, and ensure a positive experience for every customer. In addition to customer service, you'll also use your technical expertise to diagnose and repair a range of e-bikes, e-mopeds, and e-cargo bikes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Service: Manage the service desk, triage customer queries, and schedule repairs efficiently. Prioritise customer needs, providing timely solutions and excellent service.
Vehicle Maintenance: Efficiently repair and service our fleet of e-bikes, e-mopeds, and e-cargo bikes to the highest Zoomo standards. - Fault Diagnosis: Accurately diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues to ensure vehicles are safe and operational.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough inspections on fleet vehicles and returns to identify and rectify any damage or faults.
- Workshop Maintenance: Contribute to a clean and organised workshop environment.
- Teamwork: Collaborate with the team to maintain a positive and supportive work environment.
- Passion for Sustainability and Cycling: Genuine enthusiasm for e-bikes and sustainable mobility solutions.
- Technical Proficiency: Proven experience in bike mechanics, including electric bikes. Transferable skills from automotive or motorcycle mechanics are valuable.
- Product Knowledge: In-depth understanding of bike assembly, repair, and e-bike/lithium-ion battery technology.
- Problem-Solving Abilities: Excellent diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
- Meticulous Approach: High attention to detail to ensure high-quality repairs.
- Customer Focus: Strong commitment to providing excellent customer service.
- Organisational Skills: Strong ability to manage your time and prioritise tasks efficiently.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible shifts across multiple sites and weekends.
- Communication Skills: Effective communication in English, with additional languages preferred.
- Physical Fitness: Ability to lift heavy objects and work on your feet for extended periods.
- Qualifications: Ideally, a Cytech Level 2 certification or equivalent qualification.
