Job Description

Are you a creative professional with a passion for editorial work and e-commerce? Join our dynamic team at zooplus! As an Editorial Manager, you will research trending topics, create high-quality content, and optimize our content channels’ performance. Collaborate closely with our SEO team and take charge of strategic projects. If you have extensive experience in online marketing and a love for pets, we look forward to your application!

Your Tasks:

  • As a member of the editorial team, you will oversee the zooplus magazine. Your responsibilities include researching trending topics (including keyword research), developing the editorial calendar, and maintaining and optimizing existing articles while also uploading new content.
  • You will monitor channel performance, generate reports and analyses, and collaborate closely with our SEO team to develop strategies for content optimization.
  • You will manage strategic initiatives and projects, ensuring timely implementation and working closely with agencies and internal stakeholders.
  • Additionally, you will coordinate with external journalists and editors for content creation and perform quality assurance.
  • Occasionally, you will write magazine articles and create content for other marketing activities, such as newsletters and campaign pages. For other zooplus channels (e.g., YouTube), you will research complex editorial topics and adapt them for their target audiences.

Qualifications

  • University degree in journalism, communication, media, humanities, marketing, or a comparable vocational training.
  • Minimum of 2 year of professional experience in an online editorial team, in content marketing, or online marketing.
  • Strong proficiency in written and spoken German and English.
  • Affinity for numbers and ability to create analyses and make data-driven decisions. Knowledge of Adobe Analytics / Google Analytics, Excel, and PowerPoint is desirable.
  • First experience in search engine optimization and with common SEO tools such as Google Search Console and Sistrix.
  • Strong affinity for pets and enthusiasm for e-commerce.
