Zurich North America is currently looking for an Actuarial Analyst / Senior Actuarial Analyst to join our Special Lines Pricing team based out of one of our North American offices. As part of the Technical Underwriting Line of Business Pricing Team, this role is responsible for supporting pricing analyses for our Warranty and Surety lines of business. We are open to hiring talent in one of the following locations: Overland Park or SchaumburgActs in an actuarial capacity while in pursuit of an actuarial qualification, performing duties which are of a mathematical and/ or financial nature, in order to provide highly accurate data and analyses for use by Actuaries in the evaluation of reserves, financial reporting or the pricing of business.In this role you will be responsible for:• Calculates actuarial best estimate reserves (loss and premium), planning, and profitability analyses for defined segments of insurance business.• Performs research, loss emergence studies, and other statistical analyses.• Ensures that the claims provisioning processes for assigned tasks are appropriately governed in accordance with Group, Regional, and Local regulatory policies.• Calculates pricing or rate indications for new/renewal business, and assist in price monitoring, planning, and profitability analyses for defined segments of insurance business.• Performs research, experience studies and other statistical analysis.• Prepares premium rate filings, schedules of statistics/statistical analyses, and financial statements.• Tests and maintains pricing models and tools.• Performs experience investigations and data validation.• Establishes and runs actuarial cash flow models for use in actuarial reporting.• Provide support for calculation of statutory reserves and financial valuations.• Provides product development and pricing support.• Executes and tests pricing models.Basic Qualifications:Actuarial Analyst:• Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice, including Associate Degree and 2 or more years technical/insurance experience OR• Bachelors Degree with 3.0 cumulative GPA and No prior experience required in the Actuarial area AND• Successful completion of one or more actuarial examsORSenior Actuarial Analyst:• Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice, including Associates Degree OR• Bachelors Degree AND• Successful completion of 5 or more actuarial exams (applicable to FCAS designation or equivalent international certification) with 2 or more years of experience in the Actuarial area OR• Successful completion of 3 or more actuarial exams (applicable to FCAS designation or equivalent international certification) with 3 or more years of experience in the Actuarial areaCompensation for roles at Zurich varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. The salary provided is a nationwide market range and has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location where the position may be filled. The combined salary range for this position is $57,500.00 - $119,200.00.
