My reliability and accountability. I am also dedicated to supporting my team on any project and fostering a culture of support and collaboration.
For the past year and a half, I have been volunteering for a non-profit organization, called SeedSF that provides pro-bono consulting services to environmentally based non-profits in the bay area. On one of the projects, my team collaborated with a local client that provided educational gardening and sustainability courses, and was struggling to turn a profit. I was able to contribute to the team and learn new skills by developing a pricing model to support the recommendation for raising course prices. Additionally, I worked on marketing material to distribute to the community and raise awareness about the courses offered. This required weekly collaboration, initiative to take on new and unfamiliar tasks, and the ability to work in a cross-functional role in order to execute on all the deliverables we had committed to the client. Based on those pricing and marketing recommendations, the client was able to implement those changes. They let us know that their classes were selling out for the first time in ten years and they started to earn a profit for the first time since their inception. I have continued to be involved in this work and am dedicated to seeing success for our mission-driven partners, and will be managing my own client/project this spring.
