Finally got an offer! I just accepted! 🎉

After eight months of unemployment, unemployment checks, and relying on financial support, I finally got an offer. I can’t even tell you how many nights I cried myself to sleep, waking up with anxiety every day. I went through ten different employers and got ghosted by eight of them.

Here’s the timeline:

Applied in January

Got a call in March (recruiter did a phone interview)

Mid-March Interview (on my birthday)

They asked for references the next day

Employer called my three professional references

A week later, I got the offer

I also had another interview lined up with a different employer, but I had to turn it down because I already accepted this one.

Starting date is April 21st! Can’t wait to start this new chapter! 🙌
