Reporting to the Director of Commercial, this position is an ideal role for an experienced exemplary Business Development Executive of Business Development Manager looking to take the next step and expand their career.  The primary focus of this role is on the Tasmanian market and is ideal for someone wanting to spread their wings in a multi-hotel environment.

Job Description

Through your passion and motivation, you sell memorable experiences to guests who stay in your property. You are professional and knowledgeable about your property, and you build strong relationships and create bonds with your guests.
 

No two days are the same, so what will you be doing?

  • Solicit all market segments (with strong focus on Leisure and Business groups) and reach consistent achievement of sales objectives
  • Participate in tradeshows, conventions and promotional events
  • Maintain accounts, contact, activity and business details
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to drive growth
  • Analyse sales data and market trends to identify opportunities for improvement

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated sales experience in a hotel or related tourism industry
  • Sales flair will be complemented by your epic problem-solving skills
  • Strong organisational, interpersonal, relationship management, influencing, and negotiation skills
  • Well-developed time management and prioritising skills
  • Well presented with a confident, positive and approachable demeanour
  • Strategic thinking with the ability to develop and executive effective sales plans
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Sales & Marketing or Hospitality qualifications highly regarded
