Area Sales Manager – Central + West Spain (m/w/d)

Your Opportunity at ARC’TERYX:


The Area Sales Manager (ASM) – Central + West Spain (Madrid, Castilla, Rioja, Navarra, Basque Country, Cantabria, Asturias, Galicia, Extremadura) drives sales to achieve significant targets for the Brand, acting as a business partner. The ASM builds partnerships with key specialty and premium partners Outdoor Sports and defined lifestyle retailers in Cities & Mountain resorts by developing joint plans to serve the consumer that benefit both the retailer and Arc’teryx.


As the Area Sales Manager – Central + West Spain, you will lead the work to evolve how the Arc’teryx vision comes to life in Outdoor and Lifestyle Specialty Retail while supporting efforts to build our community in our own operated stores, key accounts and Premium Partners. When successful, the Arc’teryx Guest will experience a seamless brand experience across your area. While an uncompromised brand presence is the top goal, you will be responsible for driving profitable and sustainable growth.

 

This role is field nationwide based in Central + West Spain and is open to remote work. Candidates must be within reasonable driving distance of our key retailers and expect to travel to our showroom in Barcelona during Sell in seasons. Candidates must be eligible to work in Spain.

The EMEA Commercial team is accountable for delivering sales through all channels. We meet the guest where they are shopping and ensure Arc’teryx is represented consistently and at its best. As the retail landscape changes, we will work together to evolve our approach with creativity and teamwork.


If you were the Area Sales Manager – Central + West Spain, here are some of the core activities you would be doing:
  • Translating the seasonal strategy to a sell-in and marketing plans to secure pre-orders and a commitment from our specialty base to bring future seasons to life on the retail floor with accompanying sell-through plans
  • Building a joint business and consumer plan with assigned premium partners that deliver on key strategic objectives of Arc’teryx and maximizes guest experience at the specialty retailer
  • Training account retail staff on our brand promise, seasonal vision, and product specifics so they can spread the Arc’teryx stoke and drive full price sell through with delighted guests
  • Managing your orderbook to ensure best possible fulfillment, satisfied partners, and in-season sales opportunities to deliver profitable and sustainable growth with our partners
  • Using experience and data to strengthen forecasts, planning, and product feedback to drive continuous improvement
  • Traveling your territory to sell, stoke, and educate on the Arc’teryx brand and its offering (40 – 50% travel commitment)
  • Connecting members of the Arc’teryx community – EMEA sales and allocation team, Brand Stores, Ambassadors, Regional Staff, and wholesale account staff - in your territory through events and activations that build brand awareness, improved guest experience and excitement.

  • Working closely with the Community Marketing team to identify new guests to bring to the brand
  • Informing and helping build new commercial strategies to evolve in the spirit of Arc’teryx values


Are you our next Area Sales Manager – Central + West Spain?
  • You have 5+ years of sales experience in outdoor sales and account management or within a related industry; ideally selling technical outdoor apparel, gear and footwear·       
  • You have a bachelor’s degree or post-secondary education in Business or a related field
  • You have exemplary relationship-building and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate with all levels
  • You have a strong ability to build relationships, sell, influence, and negotiate
  • You have strong presentation and communication skills
  • You have excellent organizational skills, analytical ability, and a track record of strategic planning
  • You have a good working knowledge of IT systems and are proficient in Microsoft office skills – particularly strong in Excel
  • You have extensive spreadsheet analysis experience with strong mathematical abilities
  • You are fluent in Spanish and English
  • You have the ability to work well independently and, in a team
  • You are proactive in identifying the root cause of issues and developing solutions
  • You remain highly flexible and adaptable when faced with ambiguity
  • You effectively balance autonomy and collaboration
  • You seek the best (sometimes not the easiest) solutions with unwavering commitment
